(RTTNews) - The number of loans approved for house purchases in the U.K. in June decreased to 47,643 from 49,461 in May, the Bank of England reported Thursday. The latest level was well below the previous six-month average of 50,036 and the expected 48,800.
The ECB's latest private-sector lending figures are a mixed bag for the euro zone economy, with loans to households on the rise but lending to businesses still below year-ago levels.
Budget Loans Limited has pleaded guilty to 34 charges of breaching the Fair Trading Act in the Auckland District Court today. The charges relate to misleading claims made by Budget Loans that it was entitled to recover certain interest and fees from its debtors, when as a matter of law it was not.
